Sunflower Seeds

Oh how my family loves sunflower seeds. Brad loves them in the car. I love to see how many I can get in my mouth.......open the seed up.......eat the seed......and store the shell in my cheek without getting slobber all over and without accidentally eating a shell. I am up to 13 now :) Zack loves the challenge of just getting them open. Ashlyn loves that salty taste. O.K. so only four out of the six loves them.

My neighbor gave us two of her huge sunflower heads. I was totally infactuated with them. I have never seen a head with the seeds still in. Amazing! We gutted, soaked, baked, and ate!

Fall is here

Fall is HERE! It's pretty obvious we can all feel fall, but can you smell it too? I sure can. So was blog surfing the other day and found a blog that had posted all her Fall decorations. I love that! Fall is my favorite time of year to decorate for. Looking at her pics made me WANT to get my Fall decor out.

My intentions.....to inspire ya'll to get your house decorated for Fall. And don't forget your favorite Fall smelling candles or scentsies. AND go out right now and buy Bath and Body's "Leaves" "Spiced Cider" and "Cinnamon Pumpkin" hand soaps!

Here's some of my favorite

Really?!

Has it nearly been two months since I last posted? So that should say a little how my life it. Busy! So let's see, what's happened since? The kids started school. Loving that!

First day of school

I turned 33. Ouch!

And I've spent a lot of time reupholstering this

I've been looking for the perfect chair to go in my living room, but never could find the right fabric. So I decided that I would take a class and learn how to do it myself. I found this chair for $10! And the fabric was only $1/yard, so $3 total! I'm not usually frugal, and thought I'd probably spend just as much as I would on buying a new chair, but you can't beat $13. I was proud. Here it is taaadaaaa!

I'll be your huckleberry

One of my fun childhood memories is picking huckleberries with my cousins. Our moms would gather all us kid up and we'd latch on our bucket belts and pick ALL DAY LONG! This is only the second time I'v picked huckelberries since I've been married. I know! What was I thinking! Probably that you can spend hours picking and come home with hardly anything.

Thank you to the Bransons for inviting us to go riding otherwise it would have been another year without picking huckleberries. We rode in to an awesome spot and found huckleberries galore! The kids were in heaven. So what did I do with all the huckleberries?

Huckleberry Muffins, to die for and

my favorite, huckleberry pancakes and syrup. Yum!

And I still have a couple more cups to make a Huckleberry Cream Cheese Pie.

To Get To Nova Scotia

We made it to Nova Scotia! Yay! And the plan ride was actually not as bad as I thought it would be. Can I just tell you how awesome my husband is. I had three stores I had to get to before they all closed at 9 p.m. in Salt Lake. First, gateway mall to Apothica, then to Fashion Place Mall to Mac, and then to Southetown to Macey's. We didn't get on the road til 5:30 and made it to SLC by 8:15 p.m. He knew I needed to get to those stores and did everything possible to make sure it happened.

Our plane didn't leave until midnight and then when we got their it had been delayed for an hour. Brad was planning just on driving right back for work the next day. So I told him to just go and I'd be fine. Two hours in an airport with four kids....not as bad as I'd thought. Good thing for computers, DS's, coloring books and fruit snacks! We had a layover in Atlanta at about 4 a.m. and I thought that would be the hardest to wake the kids up and then have to walk around an airport. They did awesome! Here they are sleeping

Yes, Paige sleeps with her eyes opened. So does Zack.

We finally made to Nova Scotia and I was beat. I took about a three hour nap and then slept the rest of the night also. It's been fun seeing and spending time with family. Zack and Ashlyn are best friends with my Uncle Wayne and Aunt Linda. I've been very appreciative because they let me have a break every once in awhile.

Can I just say how much I miss Brad!
